Daughter to parents of Irish and British descendants. Has an older sister named Tracy. Family moved to Canada when Zoie was 9 years old.

Education:

Went to Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket, Ontario.

Graduated from York University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2001.

Career:

Zoie performed in community theatre while growing up and took drama classes in high school, and studied theatre in university.

In terms of television roles, Zoie had a recurring role as Patsy Sewer on Instant Star and was a series regular, playing Carly Greig, on The Guard. Zoie has also guest-starred on various TV shows including Murdoch Mysteries, Nikita, XIII: The Series, King and Call Me Fitz. TV movies that Zoie appeared in include The Reagans and Devil’s Perch.

Zoie appeared various movies including Terminal Venus, for which she won the Best Actor at the Baja California Film Festival.  in In addition, Zoie also starred in the Canadian film The Untitled Work Of Paul Shepard along with Kris Holden-Reid, a role for which she received an ACTRA award nomination.

Zoie has been appearing on Lost Girl as Dr. Lauren Lewis since September 2010.
