Below is a quick recap of the Doccubus storyline in tonight’s episode (under the cut for those who want to avoid spoilers). Click on “read more” for the details. Join the episode discussion on our forum!

  • The gang (minus Dyson) is attending Ciara’s funeral at the Dal. Bo asks Lauren when’s the last time she saw her own bed. Lauren says she will sleep when she can figure out how to stabilize Lachlan’s venom.
  • Dyson shows up at the Dal to mourn Ciara. He heads to the bar. Lauren approaches him and treats Dyson to a drink. Lauren tells Dyson that he doesn’t have to pretend with her, that “it’s not weak to let it out – it’s human”. Lauren catches herself and explains that she meant that it takes strength to express his pain so that he can go on. Dyson is sorry about Nadia.
  • At the Ash’s compound, Lauren and Bo show up for Lachlan’s service. Bo remarks that there aren’t a lot of people, and Lauren replies that Lachlan wasn’t very well known or very liked.
  • Later, Lauren is doing research at home when Bo knocks on her open door before walking in. Lauren sees that Bo is scratched up and asks in concern what happened and who did this to her.
  • Bo explains that it’s the Redcaps. She continues, “I need…” and Lauren eagerly adds , “To heal, yes, of course.” and starts unbuttoning her shirt. Bo replies, “No.. no… I was going to say an aspirin”. Lauren quickly composes herself and goes to her desk to grab some medical supplies. Bo tells her it’s not that bad. Lauren replies that she’s not thinking clearly; she is stressed about the venom. She has tried every anti-coagulant known to man and Fae and still hasn’t had any luck. Lauren apologizes for complaining to Bo about being stressed. Bo says that it’s okay and that she likes it. It makes her forget what is waiting for them out there.
  • Lauren asks Bo if she remembers what happened when The Lich forced Bo to feed off of her. Bo remembers that she sucked the chi out of the entire roomful of people. Lauren says that that scared the hell out of her. It scared Bo, too. Bo isn’t sure how she did it or what triggered her rage.
  • Lauren has a hypothesis. She thinks it’s because of what they feel for each other.
  • Bo tells Lauren that she takes her breath away. They move toward each other, their lips barely brushing. (Edited to add: Upon further viewing, I don’t think their lips actually touched although they were mere millimetres apart. The UST!!). Lauren whispers, “Breathless.” Bo replies, “Completely”. Lauren suddenly realizes the venom is only de-oxygenated when it is in stasis. Lauren quickly moves back to her desk to her research work. Bo looks bereft and says that she’s glad to be of help. Lauren looks up at Bo meaningfully and tells her that she’ll see her soon, and Bo responds the same.
  • The gang has gathered at the Dal. Bo introduces Vex as their new team member. Bo declares herself the champion and wants everyone to be on board because she cannot do it alone. She needs all of them. Dyson tells her that he is with her ’til the end. Lauren adds that they all are.
  • Back at the crack shack, Kenzi and Bo are drinking cheap/fake champagne. Kenzi says that if it is the Fae-pocalypse, Bo should go be with her girl, that she shouldn’t be alone. Bo replies that she’s not alone because she’s with Kenzi.

Is anyone else confused with what is going on with the back of Bo’s head? It kind of looks like dreadlock extensions?

I am giddy after tonight’s episode! Small recap:
Loved the Bo revelation, loved the Dyson/Lauren scene. And the Morrigan’s dance scene nearly stole the show. And am I seeing something between Kenzi and Dyson!?!
    Most notable:
    Dyson’s rebirth
    Kenzi with the chain saw
    The Dialogue!!
And I had to pause b/c I was nearly floored when Bo came to see Lauren and she quickly was ready to strip to help Bo heal.
Lauren switching modes mid kiss, lol.
    And oh sh*t, Kenzi!!
Bo and the Morrigan!, LOL “No, stop it, no lower, right there. . . BoBo’s such a tease, lol.
And then Bo’s face “She can do. . . whatever that was?”
    Two Words: Fae Viagra!
Vex: It’s just a tap between friends, she’ll get over it.
Loved the look of pride on Lauren’s face when Bo accepted her role as champion.
Vex in a kimono, the famous “toothpaste in the footlocker” line, LOL.

Oh my goodness, enough rambling. I had so much fun with this one. Such an awesome episode, Emily Andras did a great scripting job, she so redeemed last week’s episode. Tonight’s ep. continues to remind me of how much I love this show!

Damn it!! Well we almost got to Doccubus. Hopefully next episode. I can see why they do not want to rush things. I wouldn’t either but I think I might try do to the whole fae-appocolypse. We are almost there! yay :) its in their heads, now it just needs to be brought forth! :)

This is good. I like how this season is going with Lauren and Bo’s relationship. Kenzi saying Lauren is Bo’s girl… :D Lost Girl has the potential to make TV history with their relationship and I hope they do. I would really like to see this show break some TV rules that needs to be broken. A relationship like this one needs to be recongized and seen as two people in Love and that is it. We will se some Doccubus but when we do, it will be special. I can see both of them are making it toware when that time comes, its going to be not wanting anything in return. It will just be just because and I think htat is what they are both wanting. Lauren wasn’t going to take Bo for granted out of greif and Bo wasn’t going to take Lauren for granted for healing. Lauren was all ready to jump on the subject :) lol but I like that it didnt happen just yet, cause the time will be special and it will be a just because reaction to the situation at hand. I’m looking forward to it. :)

  5. Jessie says:

The fact that they both admitted that they have feelings for one another is a big step. They practically said I love you to each-other without saying the words so the next step is to say the words for real. But at least neither of them are denying their feelings towards each-other. Its hot that Lauren was the one to bring up that subject first. :) there seen was hot enough to be called a Doccubus scene.

  6. Catie says:

this episode made up for so many awful episodes in this season… not just because of the lack of Doccubus, but for the awful writing.

This one had so much going for it:
-Dyson finally coming out of his funk… that was getting really boring
-The Morgan… dancing in underwear and getting it on with Bo, I never saw that coming (really) and it was brilliant
    -Kenzi… just being Kenzi
    -Vex… I know he’s a bad guy, but he’s so funny
-and of course… Bo and Lauren, I sooooo badly wanted them to kiss, but it was a lovely scene showing that they really want and love each other (yay)

Also how sexuality is so free in this show… I really never saw the Morgan being into women as well (or maybe just Bo) but it was just written in with no need for the back story, explanations or drama… cos she was up for it even before Bo used her powers… nice

the only thing I found creepy… Trick being Bo’s Grandpappy… sorry, but I just couldn’t get my head round that one. Makes sense tho, lets just hope Bo doesn’t become the homocidal granddaughter the Rouge predicted

  7. Dacaria says:

@Catie- I rewatched S2E9 “Original Skin” and it appears the Nane Rouge warns Bo that the vision she was given will happen if Bo doesn’t fulfill her destiny. Hopefully that means the vision won’t come to pass with the “homocidal granddaughter” part if and when Bo defeats the Garuda. Then again, this show has been known to give twists and turns, we can’t be sure exactly what Bo’s destiny is yet ;)
